firefox and entering birthday in register.php

I've noticed that Firefox (1.0) seems to have a problem with the drop down month and day (with 4.04 - I have it patched). Sometimes they work and sometimes they just default back to - (default) ... of course, when they don't, you can refresh the page and may be they will work then but new users won't know to do that probably.
