New Posts show topics in Hidden Area

Hi !

This might be a strange situation, but this is what I'm trying to do.

I am trying to create a hidden subforum for a user to manage.

Access will only be provided to users that know the direct link. Anyone (registered or not) can view the topics if they know the direct link.

I have now created the forum area, set it to not display on the front page and also disabled the "Index New Posts in Search Engine".

Everything looks fine, however when a registered user hits new post, it shows toics in that area in the "New Posts" list.

Is there any way to disable this ? I don't want to make it password protected. I'm really just trying to have it separated from the rest of the board.

Is there any better way of doing this ?? I've tried searching the forums but nothing really has been similar to what I've been trying to do.

It might be possible to do this with template conditionals. If not then this requires modifying the code. You can try asking for help with this over at vbulletin.org.
