  • Log out Bug

    Hello all, and happy new year

    I have a log out bug in my forum, and dont know how to solve it

    To be more specific, when someone tryes to log out from the forum, he see a message like this:

    vBulletin Message
    An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out

    After he press the log out again, he is log out normally.

    Now, this is not bad, as the user thinks twice to log out, but hehe its a bug i think

    How can i fix it?

    I've ran into tha tproblem using the browser I normally use.
    I'm not sure if it is because I share the user database with Photopost.
    I'm pretty sure clearing out the cache corrected it.
    It seems to be working now.
    So try clearing out the cache first.

      Hi there,

      Revert the navbar template as the code changed (probably) between the version you had and are now using.

        I'm getting the same error. How is it related to the navbar template?

          The logout code in is the navbar template.

            If you don't want to revert the whole template, just do this:

            Replace this:
            <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout" onclick="return log_out()">$vbphrase[log_out]</a></td>
            With this:
            <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;u=$bbuserinfo[userid]" onclick="return log_out()">$vbphrase[log_out]</a></td>

              This error always occurs if a user has a different IP than before when clicking on the "log out" link. Always happens to dial-up users ....
