    Ok when your viewing the board index under the section last post it gives you the option to click stright to the last post. Is there anyways to remove/disable/not allow this to happen? I feel that my forum would be more active if people would be forced to open the forum and see what posts are there rather then just everyone replying to the newest post. So any ways to do this?

    Hi there,

    Yes, you could remove the link to the last post and only show the text for example.

    Here is how.

    Change the content of the template forumhome_lastpostby with this:
    HTML Code:
    <if condition="$show['lastpostinfo']">
    <div class="smallfont" align="$stylevar[left]">
     <div style="clear:both">
      <if condition="$show['icon']"><img class="inlineimg" src="$icon[iconpath]" alt="$icon[title]" border="0" /></if>
      <strong>$lastpostinfo[trimthread]</strong>
     </div>
     <div<if condition="is_browser('ie', 6)"> style="float:$stylevar[left]"</if>>
      <phrase 1="member.php?$session[sessionurl]find=lastposter&amp;f=$lastpostinfo[forumid]" 2="$lastpostinfo[lastposter]">$vbphrase[by_x]</phrase>
     </div>
     <div align="$stylevar[right]">
      $lastpostinfo[lastpostdate] <if condition="!$show['detailedtime']"><span class="time">$lastpostinfo[lastposttime]</span></if>
      <img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_last_post]" border="0" />
     </div>
    </div>
    <else />
    <div class="smallfont" align="$stylevar[right]">
     $lastpostinfo[lastpostdate] <if condition="!$show['detailedtime']"><span class="time">$lastpostinfo[lastposttime]</span></if>
     <img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_last_post]" border="0" />
    </div>
    </if>
    It is basicly the same code, but stripped off of the <a> tags.

            This is going to require some pretty extensive editing of the FORUMHOME and forumhome_forumbit_level1_post templates. Unfortunately there are no posted instructions for doing this but if you are familiar with HTML you should be able to accomplish this.
