Paid subscriptions optional?

3.0.3 just installed and I have filled out the PayPal information in the admin cp.

I'd like to offer a paid membership or current members to be able to pay memberships through vBulletin.

Yes, paid subscriptions is possible by default in vBulletin and yes it is optional to members.

You can setup the default registered usergroup to only see 1 forum (the welcome forum) where you can explain that chosing a paid subscription allows them to view the whole forum and their threads.

You can setup a paid subscription through the admin control panel. You can find instructions on how to do this through our online manual here: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/subscriptions

I've read through that but didn't see anyway to offer at registration? When registering there is no mention of you could be a paid member or can join later at the user cp ?

Sorry, no. This is a feature available to registered members only. Which is why I suggested to make the default registered usergroup only visible to a forum where it explains how to properly register. (by chosing a paid subscription)
