  • Message shown to Users with Banned IP

When we ban a member's IP and they access the forum, what is the error message shown to them?

    Where is the template?

I want to change it so the member will not know that their IP is being banned and they find another IP to create trouble.

I don't believe it's a template but a phrase (or more than one phrase)

The phrase I found is called "banip" and located in the Front End Error Messages phrase group. It contains the words: "Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click <a href="mailto:$vboptions[webmasteremail]">here</a>"

    Hope that helps

All language is in Phrases. Do a 'Search in Phrases' for the specific language you are looking for, then edit the appropriate Phrase.

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases

In this case the appropriate phrase is 'banip'.
Note: To edit a phrase, place the new phrase in the available language text boxes.
