  • VB 3.0.3 Error - 1017

    Ok, been getting these errors now for sometime, and I cant keep up with the repeated deleting of the email errors in my email box. What is causing this two specific errors, and how do I go about fixing it?

    Errors are:

    1.

    Database error in vBulletin 3.0.3:

    Invalid SQL: SELECT attachmentid, COUNT(*) AS views FROM attachmentviews GROUP BY attachmentid
    mysql error: Can't find file: 'attachmentviews.MYD' (errno: 2)

    mysql error number: 1017

    If I remember correctly the erno. 2 means that MySQL couldn't write to that file (file not found). This is a hosting issue, contact your hosting provider and ask them where the .myi files went to for that database. (Could also mean that the table is missing from the database, and therefor it can't find the file)

      in what folder do these files need to be located in, in order for them to be found? as well as were can I obtain these files? do I just extract my vb zip file and place fresh copies in the proper folder on my server?

        Run these queries to recreate these tables (assuming you have no table prefix):

        CREATE TABLE attachmentviews (
        attachmentid INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
        KEY postid (attachmentid)
        );

        CREATE TABLE threadviews (
        threadid INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
        KEY threadid (threadid)
        );

          I am getting the same errors as above. It started occuring when I posted a thread this morning and got this mysql error

          Code:

          Database error in vBulletin 3.0.3:

          Invalid SQL: INSERT IGNORE INTO word (title) VALUES ('christmas'),('roll'),('euro'),('headlights'),('corners'),('clothes'),('andreas'),('pack'),('patron'),('tequilla'),('misc'),('stuff.')

          mysql error: Got error 28 from table handler

          mysql error number: 1030

          I went into admincp and looke at the repair tables. It says it is missing the threadviews and attachment views table. Should i run the queries in vb's admincp to recreate the tables?
          Also, I just did a db backup via admincp and the file is much smaller than normal. It is 3 megs instead of the 8+ megs. Is this normal?

            Error code 28: No space left on device

            One or more partitions on your server is out of space or doesn't have enough space to complete this operation. Shutdown your forums and contact your host immediately. You or your host will need to find out which partition is low on space and free up some more space.

            In the future, please start a new thread for your problem. Thanks.

              I can I go about checking to see if I either do have table prefix, or if I dont?

                Look in config.php. There is a line for this in that file.

                        Those queries worked fine for me. Run these one at a time:

                        1:

                        DROP TABLE IF EXISTS attachmentviews;

                        2:

                        CREATE TABLE attachmentviews (
                        attachmentid INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
                        KEY postid (attachmentid)
                        );

                        3:

                        DROP TABLE IF EXISTS threadviews;

                        4:

                        CREATE TABLE threadviews (
                        threadid INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
                        KEY threadid (threadid)
