Login Problem + SubDomain

hi,
I have vbulletin installed on a subdomain - http://forums.tech-arena.com

Why my users are logging in to the forums, they are getting logged in properly from this url - http://forums.tech-arena.com

But from this url they are having trouble get logged in - http://www.tech-arena.com/forums

I am puzzled by this problem Any idea what is wrong ??
This was working fine till day, my last changes where made to the navbar where i hardcoded and added http://forums.tech-arena.com before them.

As far as cookies are concerned

forums.domain.com
and
www.domain.com/forums

They are two totaly differnt domains, what is your cookie domain set too

i have integrated my forums + portal (Virtuanews) + gallery (photopost)
all of them are located in different locations, and i think for a proper integration of them i need to have the cookie domain or should i not ??

any help on this is appreciated, as many members are facing problems.

Unfortunately we can't provide suppoort for add-ons and forums running add-ons. For vB alone it is best to leave the cookie domain blank. How this impacts your add-ons is something you'll need to ask the authors of those apps.

thats right Steve i know we(vbulletin) dont support 3rd party addon, but the question is it was working perfect since 9 months, but suddenly since 2 days i have a problem.
I have not touched cookie domain etc. since i have started.. hence expecting some help.

The thing is why Steve says that is because you say you are required by third party code to have the cookie domain set to that value, whereas we suggest to leave it blank to fix your cookie issue.
