Sounds like you recently upgraded to 4.3.10 of PHP. This on its own is not the problem, but you should also upgrade your Zend optimizer or accelerator/cache software for PHP. There are reports it results in such errors. There are various threads on the forum about this.

    Really "random" MySQL error message...

    Hi guys,

I'm having a random problem with some SQL being run (I had over 3,000 debug error messages, emailed to me last night .... all the same error message).

    The error reported was;

    Invalid SQL:
    SELECT
userfield.*, usertextfield.*, user.*, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(passworddate) AS passworddate,
    IF(displaygroupid=0, user.usergroupid, displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid,
    language.phrasegroup_ AS phrasegroup_,
    language.phrasegroup_ AS phrasegroup_,
    language.options AS lang_options,
    language.languagecode AS lang_code,
    language.charset AS lang_charset,
    language.locale AS lang_locale,
    language.imagesoverride AS lang_imagesoverride,
    language.dateoverride AS lang_dateoverride,
    language.timeoverride AS lang_timeoverride,
    language.registereddateoverride AS lang_registereddateoverride,
    language.calformat1override AS lang_calformat1override,
    language.calformat2override AS lang_calformat2override,
    language.logdateoverride AS lang_logdateoverride,
    language.decimalsep AS lang_decimalsep,
    language.thousandsep AS lang_thousandsep
    FROM user AS user
LEFT JOIN userfield AS userfield ON (user.userid = userfield.userid)
    LEFT JOIN usertextfield AS usertextfield ON (usertextfield.userid = user.userid) INNER JOIN language AS language ON (language.languageid = IF(user.languageid = 0, 1, user.languageid))
    WHERE user.userid = 9209

mysql error: Unknown column 'language.phrasegroup_' in 'field list'

    mysql error number: 1054
    Now.. I'm no expert, but shouldn't 'language.phrasegroup_' have a value after the _ ?

BTW: I havn't installed any new hacks recently (just a few smilies, through the admin panel).

I'm hoping this is a simple fix, I really don't fancy having to move to another forum script, especially with over 1.2 millions posts :|

    TIA

    Andy
