    If there are periods where your forum is VERY active, you may run out of database "connections". That is, you have more people wanting to do things than virtual connections to your SQL database. If this ONLY happens when busy, that's usually what it is. OR, your server isn't fast enough to handle the load, and requests are queuing up, which ends up being the same issue. You can configure your daemon for more connections if you should need to.

    vB couldn't connect to the (your) MySQL-Server

    It seems to be offline for some reason. Does that problem still exist? If so you should contact your hosting provider about it
