  • Phrase coming up empty?

    I'm trying to change the nav bar search to allow the user to search by either key words or user name. Here is the changed template:

    <!-- header quick search form -->
    <div class="vbmenu_popup" id="navbar_search_menu" style="display:none">
    <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0">
    <tr>
    <td class="thead">$vbphrase[key_words]:</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td class="vbmenu_option" title="nohilite">
    <form action="search.php" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="do" value="process" />
    <input type="hidden" name="showposts" value="0" />
    <input type="text" class="bginput" name="query" size="20" />$gobutton<br />
    </form>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td class="thead">$vbphrase[user_name]:</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td class="vbmenu_option" title="nohilite">
    <form action="search.php" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="do" value="process" />
    <input type="hidden" name="showposts" value="0" />
    <input type="text" class="bginput" name="searchuser" size="20" />$gobutton<br />
    </form>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]" accesskey="4">$vbphrase[advanced_search]</a></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </div>
    <!-- / header quick search form -->

    Everything is working great execpt for the
    <td class="thead">$vbphrase[key_words]:</td>
    line.

    This just display's a line with the ":". Why would the key_words phrase come up empty? The user_name phase works just fine. key_words is define ad "Key Word(s)" in the phrase system.

    The key_words phrase is in the 'Searching' phrases which isn't loaded on every page.

    Your best bet would be to add a new phrase for key_word under GLOBAL phrase category. This will ensure the phrase is loaded on every page.

      Thanks...

      Just out of curiousity I tried adding

      $phrasegroups = array('search');

      but that didn't work either.

      Oh well, I added the global phrase and it works fine.
