You want the text to be linked? You can use url tags to do that. For example:

    Code:
    [ url = http://www.vbulletin.com/ ] vBulletin [ / url ]
    (without the spaces)

It is normally at index.php. For example:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php

To change the size of the image you need to edit it using a program like Photoshop. Then you need to upload the new image.

Did you upload the image to the images directory within your forum directory?

The location of the logo is defined in the:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars (in the menu) -> Title Image

You can change this setting to point to a different image, or you can upload your image in place of the default logo at the default location.

If you want it to fit your forum, then you should tell that person to make the banner 800 wide by some height.

It can be sliced up or not... it all depends on how your page layout is constructed.

The width of your forum is defined in your:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars (in the menu) -> Main Table Width

You should make your banner be the same width as this setting.
