Viewing thread titles without viewing thread content

Is there a way to allow say, unregistered users to view the title of threads, but not the actual content of the threads themselves?

For instance, an unregistered user would be able to see the Subject of a thread/post, but would have to register before being able to to see the content of the thread (in turn promoting registration.)

This would be instead of seeing 'Never' in the 'Last Post' column of forums in which a user doesn't yet have the desired permissions.....
