  • Tried to create a left navbar and now my "quick search" is gone

    Title says it all.

    I was basically trying to figure out how to make a main navigation bar to the left and temporarily removed "$navbar" from GENERIC_SHELL. I converted it back to the original and for some reason it's not showing the "Quick Search" area under the navbar like it used to.

    Here's what's currently in the GENERIC_SHELL template
    Code:

    $stylevar[htmldoctype]
    <html id="moooo" dir="$stylevar[textdirection]" lang="$stylevar[languagecode]">
    <head>
    <title>$vboptions[bbtitle] - $pagetitle</title>
    $headinclude
    </head>
    <body>
    $header
    $navbar

    $HTML

    $footer
    </body>
    </html>
    It appears correct to me and all other templates are back to original & unmodified so I'm lost at this point.

    I know this is a seperate topic and has been (sort of) covered in other threads, but my problem started cause I was trying to figure out how to do the left navbar. I've searched plenty here and on vbulletin.org but I'm still lost. I'd hate to have to use fames to accomplish it but I don't understand how to accomplish it through modifying the templates. Any help would be appreciated.

      I'm figureing that out real quick, but do you know what would have cause the "quick search" to dissapear?

      Possibly a straight-forward way to create a left nav bar?
