  • Removing Guest Posts

    On my site I have quite a few posts showing as 'guest' that have been made by members who left and had their accounts removed under a general prune.

    I would now like to remove these posts as they look a bit untidy, is there a simple way to get rid of them en masse?

    You need to do this with a query. First make a backup of your database, then run this query:

    DELETE FROM post WHERE username='name';

    Of course, substitue 'name' for the actual user name. Be VERY careful that you don't remove the posts of a legitimate user. Update your thread and forum counters after doing this.
