  • Limited or restricted HTML?

    Hey again...

I have HTML turned off on my board because I understand there are risks of people inserting malicious code, and vBulletin recommends leaving it off. But this is a big inconvenience to certain members who want to use benign HTML for things like special characters, making small tables and so forth.

Are there any easy ways to:
    1. Allow certain members HTML access, ones who have been around a while and I know I can trust; and/or
    2. Allow only "benign" HTML while turning off things like scripts etc.?

    Thanks!

    Charles

This requires modifying the code. You can try asking for help with this over at vbulletin.org.

be aware that even experienced persons can break the display of the board. You might leave out a closing tag for a table row, for example, and you see things just fine, but someone else with a different browser sees things haywire.
