  • Need variable help!

This is the code I currently use for the thread starters name to display in a certain spot; $bbuserinfo[username]

But when editing the thread, it shows the name of the admin/mod and not the thread starter. Is there a variable for the thread starters name? such as, $bbuserinfo[threadstarter] or something like bbfirstpost[username]?

$bbuserinfo reflects to the person browsing the forum, and not the author of a post.

It depends where you want to display this info, on what page etc?

When someone starts a thread, I use $bbuserinfo[username] to display their name in a certain field. When I try to edit the thread starters post, it reverts to MY name in the feild where his name should be(Because of the $bbuserinfo[username]
code). So is there any variable I can put on the edit post template, where it either refers to the thread starter ... or the person whose post I'm editing?

$post[username] will show the username of the poster
