"Click here to log in" on Post-New-Thread page does not work

I have version 3.0.3. I allow unregistered users to post in my forums and I moderate all posts.

On the Post New Thread page, there is a "Click here to log in" link next to the "Your Username:" box. Nothing happens when I click on that link. Apparently that link points to that same page and not the login page. How can I fix that?

I assume you are starting from the "logged out" point? If so, you enter your username and password, then click the button. Is that what you're doing?

No. There is no login required since I allow unregistered users to post (I moderate all postings).

When a nonregistered user click on post thread, there is a page with username box filled with "Unregistered", the title and so on. The link "Click here to login" near that box does not point to the login page.

The user also encounters this link problem in the post event page.

Here's a way to test it:

Create a test user (Registered member). Then make sure that user is NOT logged onto your forum.

Post a thread, but replace the "Unregistered" with the username you created. Click the Login link and see what happens.

Dennis, thanks for the reply. I tried that already and that does not work either. That links points to newthread.php, not the login page.

I was told that link is an anchor that leads to the login box on top of the page. So I guess it does what it's supposed to do but is kind of useless since you are already at the top of the page when you click that link.

Yup. I agree. Poor design choice.
