  • pop-up menu's sporadic

The pop-up menu that comes up when you click a username in the postbit works .. most of the time. There are a few times where (in the same thread, even) it will work for one user, but not the other.

I am in full threaded mode, currently. The problem doesn't seem to exist in Hybrid or Linear mode. Here's a detailed description of what I do:

From the forumhome listing, I click the thread name next to one of the forums. That takes me to the 'goto=newpost' link. From there, I am down about two or three branches in the thread. Each branch in the thread has 4-5 replies. So, I am at the end of the third branch. That user has the profile drop-down menu. Using the thread navigation area, I click the first (root) post in the thread. It loads without reloading the page, and I click the username, and instead of the profile drop-down, an external window with the profile shows up.

Is this a bug, or is this supposed to happen, or did I mess anything up in the templates?

I can provide links if necessary.

    Thanks.

I only use linear myself. But, does it work for you here on vBulletin.com?

Strange. I just tried it on my site. The first message worked fine, then when I skipped down to a message farther down, it just went straight to the user's profile page when I clicked their name. No pop-up menu.

Yeah, I was able to recreate the problem here on vBulletin's forums, as you were.
