I have been trying to sign in, and it says I have successfully done so, but then when I try to post, or anything of the "member" nature, it says I am unregistered and must login, and once I do it again, it just takes me YET again to the login page lol.

The following message was sent to me by one of my members and I don't know what the problem could be.

its cookie problem
frist open config.php
in
$cookieprefix = 'bb';
change bb to somthing special
hnjui ,yourdomain
then upload fix_login.php to u vb directory
run it

This is a cookie problem, but don't change any of your settings. This will only make it worse. This users cookies are corrupted. Tell him to manually delete his cookies. To do this in IE 6.0:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Temporary Internet Files -> Settings -> View Files
Then search for the individual cookies for your domain and delete them all. The name should be in the form of:
Cookie:[email protected]
and
Cookie:[email protected]
...and any derivatives of the above. Then highlight the individual cookies and delete each one found. After this, close all browser windows and restart IE.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
