quiet admins

Hey,

I have created a couple of admins in my forum, but I do NOT want administrators to post any messages. They must be logged in as regular users in order to post.

I have created a "quiet" usergroup and in the settings selected that they should not be able to post threads. Still, administrators are able to post messages.

Any ideas?

hmm, either you cant stop admins from posting or try to edit their forum permisssions and disble posting in all forum.

The purpose of an admin is that they can do about anything ..

If you trust your friends to be admin, I don't think it is too much to ask them to just not post and use another account to do so.

No doubt about that.

Sometimes they would forget to log off and log in as another user. So disabling their posts would be a kind of protection, but if that is not possible, then there is no big deal.

You can add conditionals to the newthread/ newreply buttons (if it is their userid, dont display button)
