  • different colours for each category strip

    Hi,

    I was wondering how I can tweak vb3 to display different gradient graphics for each category strip? i.e. dnforum.com

    Thanks in advance,
    James

    You can add to the <td> class that makes the category row:

    style="background-image: url(images/$forumid_bg.gif);"

      Hi Floris, thanks for your reply. Whereabouts is the TD class you mention?
      Also, any help on syntax to achieve this would be much appreciated

      Thanks,
      James

                OK, I have come up with the following code for the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost:

                <td background="images/gradients/gradient_tcat<if condition="($forumid == 1) OR ($forumid == 2) OR ($forumid == 3)">
                $forumid.gif />
                <else />
                </if>
                colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
                this replaces:

                <td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
                I think I am along the right lines. But am now getting black spaces where the gradient images should be, despite the existence of the correct files in the correct location. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong with the code above?

                Thanks,
                James

                  OK, figured it out. Here is the code for anyone who may need it in future:

                  <td <if condition="($forumid == 1) OR ($forumid == 2) OR ($forumid == 3) OR ($forumid == 4) OR ($forumid == 5) OR ($forumid == 6)">
                  background="images/gradients/gradient_tcat$forumid.gif"
                  <else />
                  </if>
                  class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
