  • How do I add an image at the top of each forum?

    I'm new to VBulletin...currently prepping to transfer an EZBoard over.

    In EZBoard, I was able to include an individual image at the top of each individual forum page, as I chose. So, different forums...different images at the top.

    I'd like to be able to replicate that with VBulletin.

    Is there an easy way to do this? I wish I could say I've got a lot of experience with this stuff, but I don't, so err on the side of overexplaining, if you would.

    Much obliged,

    C.

    Sounds like you can modify the templates to include a conditional (rough idea

    <if condition="in_array($forumid, array(1,2,3,10,50))">
    <!-- show custom image for forums with id 1,2,3,10 or 50 -->
    <img border="0" src="images/$forumid.gif" />
    <else />
    <!-- else show a default image for every other forumid -->
    <img border="0" src="images/default.gif" />
    </if>

      There are two ways you can do this.

      1. Create a style for each forum, edit the header template to use this image, and force that forum to use that style.

      2. Use template conditionals. Here is the online documentation:
