  • Making all links open in new windows...

    I got this from someone, is this true in as far as vbulletin goes?
    Use <base target=_blank> in the <head> section of your page.That will cause ALL links to open in a new page (unless you override them).
    Just curious if vBulletin will over ride this?

    I just tested this by placing that code in the headinclude template. It worked.

      Okay where exactly in this template should I put it? Above or below any specific code?

        Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Common Templates (in the menu)

        In the headinclude template I added the red code:

        Code:
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=$stylevar[charset]" />
        <meta name="generator" content="vBulletin $versionnumber" />
        <meta name="keywords" content="$vboptions[keywords]" />
        <meta name="description" content="$vboptions[description]" />
        <base target="_blank">

        <!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
        $style[css]
        <if condition="is_browser('opera')">
        <style type="text/css">
        ul, ol { padding-left:20px; }
        </style>
        </if>
        <!-- / CSS Stylesheet -->

        <script type="text/javascript">
        <!--
        var SESSIONURL = "$session[sessionurl]";
        var IMGDIR_MISC = "$stylevar[imgdir_misc]";
        // -->
        </script>

        <script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_global.js"></script>
        <if condition="$show['popups']"><script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_menu.js"></script></if>
