This is definitelt a permissions problem. I would doublecheck the directory permissions.

I assume you have attachments in the filesystem?

When you upload a new attachment via a post, does a thumbnail get created and displays properly?

All the new attachments works just perfect

i've been through alot of problems before with the attachments

some ppl stall facing this problem : File system directory is not writable.

they had to register again and then when i move all there posts the attachments things work perfect with them, i can't really do with everything .

here's some os my thread about this problem :

Make sure, that all subdirectories of your attachment dir are also chmod to 777, not just the parent dir.
