create a file called phpinfo.php with this in:
    PHP Code:
    <?php phpinfo(); ?>
and upload it to your sever. View it in your browser and somewhere in it it has the path to the file.

    No

you asked for the location of folder and thats what I told you

index.php will be inside /forum folder

    /forum/index.php

normaly when you don't put index the browser will look for index.XXXX
    index.html
    index.htm
    default.html
    default.htm
    index.php

I beleive in that order, provided your host allows all that too

It could also be something like:

    /var/www/html/forums

You do have access to your cpanel associated with your website, correct??

If so, access it, and go into the file manager, it'll tell you what directory it is in.

For example, if you have a domain with your webhost. Let's use http://www.yoursite.com as an example. Most of the webhosts uses "public_html" as a place for public to start browsing the site from. So, if you uploaded to /home/name/public_html/forums/ then your site would be http://www.yoursite.com/forums/ ... It completely depends on where you loaded it into.

    Good luck

    In most cases
    /home/yoursite/public_html/forum

    that would mean h##p://www.yoursite.com/forum

but that can differ from host to another
