Hi,
I just upgraded from vB 2.3.2 to 3.0.2 and have been rebuilding the search index. I started it last night (default options) and it was taking ages, so I left it on overnight (it had done 120,000 posts before I went to sleep). The page was blank most of the time, and it seemed that it would only come up with the status (i.e. what posts it was indexing) every few thousand posts, although I used the default option of 250 per cycle.
Anyway, when I woke up in the morning I was met with a timeout in my browser, and a blank page again so I have no idea where it stopped. I clicked 'back' and then 'forward' again in my browser - would that have started it from the beginning, or from the part it timed out on?
I'm on Mozilla Firefox 0.9. Would I have avoided the blank page problem if I had done it in IE?
