  • Forum Level: Last Post Column > Date & Time Field...

    Hello,

    I have just downloaded vb 3.0.1 and I have noticed that the Last Post field contains the following on three seperate lines:

    Thread Title
    Author
    Date & Time

    Is there a way of changing the forum display to the following:

    Thread Title
    Author, Date & Time

    as in the format you have here.
    Regards,

    Clayton

    The format on this forum and the default format is:

    Date Time
    by Username

    Try reverting your threadbit template is you have customized it. That will bring back the default layout.

    If you still have problems then please post a link to your forums so I can see the problem.

      Hi Jake,

      Many thanks for your reply, however I have not customised the threadbit template. The only change I have made is to FORUMHOME in the forum Home Templates by adjust the column percentages.

        Are you talking about the "last post" column in the forum listing or in the "thread listing"? The forum listing one is controlled by this template:

        Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Forum Home Templates -> forumhome_lastpostby

        Replace the red code with ", " (excluding the quotes):

        Code:
        <if condition="$show['lastpostinfo']">
        <div class="smallfont" align="$stylevar[left]">
        	<div style="clear:both">
        		<if condition="$show['icon']"><img class="inlineimg" src="$icon[iconpath]" alt="$icon[title]" border="0" /></if>
        		<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]goto=newpost&amp;t=$lastpostinfo[lastthreadid]" title="<phrase 1="$lastpostinfo[lastthread]">$vbphrase[go_first_unread_in_thread_x]</phrase>"><strong>$lastpostinfo[trimthread]</strong></a>
        	</div>
        	<div<if condition="is_browser('ie', 6)"> style="float:$stylevar[left]"</if>>
        		<phrase 1="member.php?$session[sessionurl]find=lastposter&amp;f=$lastpostinfo[forumid]" 2="$lastpostinfo[lastposter]">$vbphrase[by_x]</phrase>
        	[color=red]</div>
        	<div align="$stylevar[right]">[/color]
        		$lastpostinfo[lastpostdate] <if condition="!$show['detailedtime']"><span class="time">$lastpostinfo[lastposttime]</span></if>
        		<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]goto=lastpost&amp;t=$lastpostinfo[lastthreadid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_last_post]" border="0" /></a>
        	</div>
        </div>
        <else />
        <div class="smallfont" align="$stylevar[right]">
        	$lastpostinfo[lastpostdate] <if condition="!$show['detailedtime']"><span class="time">$lastpostinfo[lastposttime]</span></if>
        	<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]goto=lastpost&amp;t=$lastpostinfo[lastthreadid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="$vbphrase[go_to_last_post]" border="0" /></a>
        </div>
        </if>
