Problem with RSS feed

I enabled the feed for all java xml and rss, but when I try to display it, it says there is an error with the first line:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding=""?>

Where does this error comes from and how to fix it ?

Look in your language manager and click Settings. You'll see there is no encoding mentioned, this will be fixed in 3.0.2.

Thanks, it does generate data when I directly load the page, but my rss extractor seems unable to work with it: it generates a blank file.

Is there any additional setting I should look to ?

try type=rss2 to see if it works any better.

It won't help.
I don't undestand, I have set this up on my second vbulletin installation. Its on another domain ,but on the same host, using the same software, the same path and all.

Except this second installation doesn't generate anything.

I haven't finished seting up the second board yet. Is there any setting that might prevent this ? Should the post contain a minimum number of characters or things like this ?

Ok got it. For some reason, .htaccess was preventing the system to work, although I was properly logged, it seems the system itself was not able to fetch.

The software to fetch the feed wouldn't have worked if the username / password wasn't present in the URL.
