I did see one ticket on 09-14 mentioning www.nasai.net, and we responded to that ticket exactly 13 minutes after we received it. We never received a response requesting more info.

Good. Then assuming this is a 2.2.9 database, you should be able to upgrade directly to 3.0.3:

Any conflicting tables or columns must be removed or renamed before the upgrade to vBulletin 3 proceeds

    Table Conflicts

    No Table Conflicts

    Column Conflicts

    No Column conflicts

You need to restore your 2.2.9 db backup from before the upgrade attempt. Restore it to a new database then run the database conflicts script.

Did you run the database conflicts script prior to attempting the upgrade?
