    It's a global database update for the user table. every entry in that table will be changed, unless you add limiting criteria.

    Run this query...
    Code:
    UPDATE
       user
    SET
       timezoneoffset = -5
    Change the -5 to whatever is required.

    I'm having the same exact scenario and problem.

    I need to know the SQL query to set ALL members in my forum's time options to the board default.

    Sorry, I don't know. Hopefully one of the other team members does.

    In IPB it is available (GMT +5.5) in the setup CP and user CP, just like in vbulletin.

    However after I did the import to VB, the default timezones of all users have moved to GMT, so I would like to move them back to GMT +5.5.

    I am not very fluent in PHP but maybe if I am not mistaken minutes have to be handled as seconds??

    I don't think you can set .. and a half hour .. as valid timezone.
    Is this possible in IPB?

    started a topic Changing default time of all users after import

    Changing default time of all users after import

    I have just imported my forum from IPB to VB3 and would like to change the default time setting for all users to GMT +5.5

    I followed the following instructions mentioned in the support forum but I am unable to get the time zone modified by +5.5

    I either get +6 or +5

    Here are the instructions that I have followed:

    =========================

    First make sure your server's time zone is set correctly:

    Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Date and Time Options -> Default Time Zone Offset

    Then you can change everyone's time zone offset by running this query on your database:

    UPDATE user SET timezoneoffset = 5.5

    Where X is the hour offset from GMT. You can use negative or positive numbers. If you use table prefixes then you need to change user to include the prefix.

    You can run this query in your:

    Admin CP -> Import & Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query
    ==========================

    Any HELP in this matter would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
