Viewing database

How do I view the text entries in the database? I have read several posts that say this is the best way of viewing private messages but have no idea how to do this!

I am aware it is not the done thing to view peoples messages but this is a different situation and I really do have to look.

Use a program like phpmyadmin to view the pmtext table.

There are also hacks on www.vbulletin.org that allow you to view PMs in the Admin CP.
