Splitting of Posts - Not in the order of posting ?

Am not sure if i am the only one facing this.

Essentially , when i try to split a thread , many a times , the order of the posts in that thread are jumbled up in the listing of posts in that thread to be split.

Is this a known bug ?

The split order is based on the threaded mode setting. I believe it was done this way since a lot of times it makes more sense to split along post with its replies. If you shows all posts in linear mode, this would be very difficult to do.

Well shouldnt this setting correspond to what display mode you have your forum set in ?
I have mine displayed in Linear mode, ie. what almost every other forum sets as.
It worked before ( the splitting - order of posts ) , i dun see why it cannot be incoporated now.

That is exactly how it will work in 3.0.2
