    A common problem with this modification is that you get a little dot at the top of your index page if the first forum is a category. This is because the table is started in the FORUMHOME template and immediately ended in the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template.

    You can prevent this initial break by adding this extra conditional to the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template:

    Code:
    [color=green]<if condition="$forum[forumid] != X">[/color]
    [color=blue]</table>

    <br />

    <table class="tborder" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="0" width="100%" align="center">[/color]
    [color=green]</if>[/color]

    <tbody>
    	<tr>
    		<td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
    			<a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
    			<a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]">$forum[title]</a>
    			<if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><div class="smallfont">$forum[description]</div></if>
    			<if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
    		</td>
    	</tr>

    	[color=blue]<tr align="center">
    	  <td class="thead">&nbsp;</td>
    	  <td class="thead" width="100%" align="$stylevar[left]">$vbphrase[forum]</td>
    	  <td class="thead" width="175">$vbphrase[last_post]</td>
    	  <td class="thead">$vbphrase[threads]</td>
    	  <td class="thead">$vbphrase[posts]</td>
    	  <if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">
    	  <td class="thead">$vbphrase[moderator]</td>
    	  </if>
    	</tr>[/color]
    </tbody>
    <if condition="$childforumbits">
    <tbody id="collapseobj_forumbit_$forumid" style="{$collapseobj_forumid}">
    $childforumbits
    </tbody>
    </if>
    Where X is the forumid of the top category on the page.

      Another common problem is that the different category blocks have columns whose widths don't match with eachother. See this thread for a fix.
