Check the permissions of your moderators to see if they can see the ip
Admin Control Panel > Forums & Moderators > View all Moderators > and click on edit behind the moderator who reported this and see if he has the permission to view ips. Turn it off it he can, and do that for all the forums he has access to and then ask him if he still see the ip in the posts.
I would like to delegate rights to moderators to look IP addresses of forum users.
Administrators can see IP within the threads, but forum moderators can't.
