WYSIWYG is a global internet/computer term introduced when computers became more graphical in the working envirenments like word perfect and word.
It is an abbriviation for 'what you see if what you get'.
When you type in bold- using the [b]tag, it will show as bold directly on screen. ... what you see is what you get.
The online backend manual also has an appendix for vbulletin / global / internet terms. (WYSIWYG)
