  • phpinclude does not work

    I feel a bit dum to ask this. but I did not find anything in the manuals nor these forums: my phpinclude_start does not work - it is simply ignored. To test I put a "die;" in it and nothing happens, also all other things I put in there do not work.
    I am sure I am in the right style because, changes in the header-template work OK...

    Version is 3.0.1

    The code in the phpinclude_start template is evaluated like regular PHP code... as if the code were in the scripts.

    The problem might be with the placement of the code, with where the phpinclude_start template is parsed in the scripts. What are you trying to do?

      I put this in the phpinclude_start:
      Code:
      echo "helllooo!!!!";
      nothing showed up, so I tried:
      Code:
      die;
      well, it did not harm the execution of the forum, so I guessed that my code is beeing ignored.

        try

        $hello = "hello"; and put $hello somewhere

          aaah, OK. I found the mistake I did. It was a syntax error that led to the code simply beeing ignored.

          thnx for the help
