Did you give him administrator permissions?
AdminCP > Usergroups > Administrator Permissions >
You need to be a super admin to be able to grant admin permissions.

Problems creating more than 1 administrator
vB version: 3.01
php: 4.3.6
mysql: 4.0.18
os: win2k server sp4
problem:
Currently I am the administrator. Tried to assign another one of my staff to the same user group as me (administrator) .. Shows him as administrator after setting. However, when he logs into the admin cp, all he sees is the announcements, moderation and statiscs & logs (basically a super moderator). Tried deleting the account and creating another one, no go. Tried creating a new user name also no go.
Any clues?

I need to add another admin who can see the entire admin CP (esp e-mail users, search for users, view stats)

On first install, the owner is admin. I am guessing that admin have overall permissions and rule the roost. There is no one can upset anything without admin giving the go ahead. Is this correct?

I have setup a second administrator (user number 2) but he can't edit posts like i can as administrator (user number 1)
in the config file i set him also as administrator.
