parse error if edit template

whenever is try to edit my postbit_legacy template i get this error

What change are you trying to make? Have you altered the postbit_legacy template before?

ive never alterd the postbit_legacy before and what i was trying to do was change the template edit that allows ppl to choose default or legacy (i got it at vbtemplates.com) i relize ur gunna think "u should ask there then" but they dont know whats wrong and i thought someone here might

on my test forum which is a strieght install the template thing worked fine, on this one which is a upgrade it does not
