    A common place to insert a banner is at the top of a forum. You can do this by going to your:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> header

    Remove the red code and Insert your banner code in its place:

    Code:
    <!-- logo -->
    <a name="top"></a>
    <table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
    <tr>
    	<td align="$stylevar[left]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
    	<td align="$stylevar[right]">
    		&nbsp;
    <!--
      NEW HEADER &amp; NAVBAR

      Now that the nav buttons are in the
      navbar template, you can stick whatever
      you like into this space.

      This makes it much easier for novice
      admins to customize their header
      template without affecting important
      navigation elements.
    -->
    	</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    <!-- /logo -->

    <!-- content table -->
    $spacer_open

    $_phpinclude_output

        I'm almost positive that the banner code is just the URL of the banner

          You'll need to run a banner system such as phpAdsNew or similar. This will serve a selected group of banners to your site.

              It depends...

              You can display a linked image with code like this:

              Code:
              <a href="LINK"><img src="URL OF IMAGE" alt="" border="0" /></a>

                As Jake says Lextreme, it depends if you want to have a single banner present on your www site, or if you wish to have mutliple banners that vary and rotate within the same location.

                If you want a single static banner, then what Jake posted is the correct way to do this. You would simply put a line of code into your header file that looks up and displays that single image. Notice the bit that says "URL OF IMAGE", well this is the location on the web of the banner you wish to show.

                However, if you want to be able to display multiple banners in the same location that change each time a new page is loaded, then you would need to run something like the programme I mention. If you want to see what I mean, take a look at my site (link in sig) and see the rotating banners at the top-central and bottom-central locations on each page. These are managed and delivered by a programme called phpAdsNew, which is an Open Source php/MySQL application. It can deliver banners/ads to any www site from wherever it is hosted - so it could even manage to deliver banners to your site...

                Good luck.

                    Do you mean program and not problem......?

                    If so, you can go to http://phpadsnew.com/two/ and download the application. You will need to have a MySQL db available for it to work.

                    Are you sure it's not just one banner you wish to show?
