  • Viewing User Profiles

When anyone other than admins attempts to view *some* user profiles, they are getting

"you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons"

However, they only get this if the user they are attempting to view has not posted - anyone with a post count greater than zero displays OK.

    Anyone got any thoughts here?

V3.0.1, some mods but did the same under a clean upgrade

What usergroup are these users in?

It's set up so that registered users, mods, super mods and admins can view profiles. All groups are set to allow profiles to be displayed. Only admins can see profiles for users with zero posts

Is it all users with 0 posts? or just the ones who have not confirmed their email?

Looks like it may be anyone who hasn't entered a birthday - on our system (for some reason I have not yet fathomed) they all get put in the Coppa group, even though we have not got Coppa turned on. Although the group set up is the same as the 'awaiting email confirmation' group, the coppa group seems to be handled differently.

I suppose a way round it would be to persuade the system that we really don't want to use that group at all
