  • Prefixing Exisiting vB3 Install?

Ok, so I've managed to upgrade from vB2 to vB3 and now I have another question. My database is very large and has a number of other systems in, so to make things clearer I'd like to add a 'vB_' prefix to all of vB3's tables.

vB3 supports prefixes, so I assume that JelSoft has developed an automated method to re-name all your existing vB tables? If so, where is it and what do I do?

In the install directory there is a file called tableprefix.php,

Ive never used it but i do know that it does rename talbes in the database. im not sure if it only applys to exsisting tables or all of them but you can give it a shot

I don't want to risk re-naming all the tables in my entire database, that's very risky. Can somebody be more precise about what it renames?

Well just running the file wont rename all your tables, it should explain what it does., before it does it.
