How do I shut down a member's forum subscriptions?

It's not the "thread" subscriptions.. It's the "forum" daily and weekly updates that they're getting. Some people want them stopped and I can't figure out how to stop them...

Just have them unsubscribe to those forums.

Okay.. But what if they're incapable for one reason or another? There's no option in vBulletin to unsubscribe a member from forum updates?

Hmmm...then it would seem to me they wouldn't even be capable of accessing the forums in the first place.

Backup your database, then run this query:

DELETE FROM subscribeforum WHERE userid=xxx;

...with 'xxx' being the userid of the member.

I hear ya. It's ridiculous.. Some people get into things they can't get themselves out of. I suppose there ARE a lot of options in vB - so.. I think people stumble upon an option (like subscribe to a forum) but then don't remember how they did it and can't get out...

Thank you for the query! It takes quite a long time to download my database.. It's scary every time I hear to do that.. I hope this could be an option in a future release...

In phpMyAdmin when you browse under the "user" table you can see if they are subscribed to threads automatically. You can also see all the thread subscriptions of your users in the "subscribethread" table.
