  • Paid Subscriptions: "Description" Box

I am adding a paid subscription to my forum. Everything is working, except when I add text in the "Description" window provided in the subscription manager, it cuts off all but four or five lines when I save it. Can you help?

I would like to be able to add much more text to the descriptions. Thanks.

You need to change the field type of the description field in the subscription table. Change it to mediumtext.

You can do this using a program like phpmyadmin.

I'm sorry, what subscription table are you referring to??

The database table. vBulletin's database is made up of tables.

Could I get a little more info on how to do this for a MySql noob?

I'd like to also increase the room I have to describe the features of the subscriptions, beyond the 5 lines vB currently displays.

Through phpmyadmin, go to that table and add what query? Er... or do what?

                Perfect. Thanks Jake.

Er... one more question: I notice those descriptons neither allow html, nor allow vb code (BBcode)...

Is there any easy way to format the text in them? (Just in case this is a hack I also searched vb.org, without finding any help).

HTML should work in both, but not BB code.

                      Works great.
