  • Using vbs conditioning system

Do you think it is possible to trick a user into thinking you have 2 sets of forums ?

    For example:

    2 sites

Both share same files, and same db.

With the conditioning would it be possible to check the URI and depending on what url you are on display or hide different forums & offer different styles.

Just asking if it's theoretically possible.

Sure it's possible, but unless the 2nd domain's a sub-domain of the 1st domain or they're both sub-domains of the same TLD, I'd think there would be problems with cookies (unless you didn't wna the 2 to share cookie, which I don't think you do). It would require some hacking though and personally, I'd think it's more hassle then it's worth. Should probably ask at vB.org though.

This is something you should ask about on www.vbulletin.org

Keep in mind that you need to purchase a vBulletin license for each "forum" because they are acting as separate forums.
