can I have 2 licenses on one domain?

Can I put two licensed forums on one domain?

Would all I have to do is install one, for instance, under www.mydomain.com/forums and the other under www.mydomain.com/forums2 or something similar?

Hi there,

Each instance of vBulletin requires a license. And each license can run on any domain - just set the domain in the member area

If you have this:

License A
http://www.yoursite.com/forumdirA/

License B
http://www.yoursite.com/forumdirB/

That will work perfectly, just set a different cookie prefix, cookie domain and cookie path.

The cookie prefix can be set in the config.php file and the cookie domain and cookie path can be set in the admin control panel > vbulletin options > vbulletin options.

You don't have to modify the cookie.

The config.php file has a cookie prefix.
If you set it there it will instantly work the next time a cookie ie set.

Online manual: config.php >

SITE ONE:
// Prefix that all vBulletin cookies will have
// For example
$cookieprefix = 'onebb';

SITE TWO:

// Prefix that all vBulletin cookies will have
// For example
$cookieprefix = 'twobb';

This it an optional thing you can do, if you don't feel comfortable you can skip the change config.php option.

The other options are in the admin control panel > vb options > vb options > cookie settings. (do that per forum)
