How do I keep Category Strip image from repeating?

Is this something that has to be done with CSS, or is there an easier route? The attached image shows what's happening, and I don't want the image to loop, per se. I just want it in there once, leaving the rest of the cat strip the bg color.

add no-repeate to the css
