  • Editing Error Message

Which template do I edit in order to customize the error message received when guests try to access forums that they're not entitled to or when someone is redirected etc.

There are several phrases used in the STANDARD_ERROR and STANDARD_REDIRECT templates:

    STANDARD_ERROR:
    $vbphrase[vbulletin_message]
    $vbphrase[not_logged_no_permission]
    $vbphrase[not_logged_in_fill_in_form]
    $vbphrase[may_not_have_sufficient_privileges]
    $vbphrase[administrator_may_disabled_account]
    $vbphrase[log_in]
    $vbphrase[username]
    $vbphrase[password]
    $vbphrase[forgotten_your_password]
    $vbphrase[remember_me]
    $vbphrase[log_in]
    $vbphrase[reset_fields]
    $vbphrase[admin_required_register]
    $vbphrase[go_back]

    STANDARD_REDIRECT:
    $vbphrase[redirecting]
    $vbphrase[click_if_browser_does_not_redirect]
    $vbphrase[proceed]

You can edit these phrases in your:

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Phrase Manager

Or you can edit the STANDARD_ERROR and STANDARD_REDIRECT templates themselves in your:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « »
