Help with Private Messages

I need HELP!! My boss has started receiving the same private message notification email over and over and over. Every time he presses send/receive, he has another email in his inbox. We've tried deleting all his pm's, and disabling pm notification. If I can't fix this I think i'm going to lose my job...

Not enough info to go on. Which versuion are you running? Have to installed any hacks, modified any files or customized any templates? Which 'send/receive' is he pressing exactly?

Sorry about not providing enough information. We are running vBulletin 3 Gold with a virgin install (no hacks). The only customization we have performed is in the installation of our skin.

When I say "send/receive" it was in regards to his email client.

Since i created the original post, he as begun receiving continuous notifications about a thread that was created as well.

I am looking into this further to see if there is an issue on our servers - since this is repeatable, it is only prudent.

Any assistance you may be able to render would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that he is setup to recevil a notifcation of all new posts by email ?

Is he the only one this is happening to? As Zach said check the forum manager settings and make sure he is not set up to receive amils on all new posts or threads.

I have the same problem. When reading the PM, when yu check the "Delete Message" box and click delete, it doesn't delete. Instead send blank responses to the sender of the original PM you were trying to delete.
