  • [Linebreak-problems WYSIWYG] Can somebody please go to the testforum.....

    Hi,

..... I was wondering if anyone could go to

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99814
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99926

... and test the same thing I did (read the thread). I am experiencing massive problems with the WYSIWYG in VB3 Gold. I don't know if it's my PC or something, but it's driving my nuts. Posting message with extensive markup is almost IMPOSSIBLE.

    Help,

Look! What is going on with the WYSIWYG editor?

    Hi,

    Look at thread http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100109

    Look just at posting #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 en #10

    Posting #5
: this is written with the WYSIWYG : pressing [Enter] on line 1 gives you 2 line-breaks.

    Posting #6-7-8
: written with the Standard editor: pressing [Enter] on line 1 gives you 1 line-break (like it should)

    Posting #9
:written with the Basic editor: pressing [Enter] on line 1 gives you 1 line-break (like it should)

    Posting #10
: Again this is written with the WYSIWYG : pressing [Enter] on line 1 gives you 2 line-breaks.

Soo.... is this just VB3 WYSIWYG design or is there something wrong with the WYSIWYG or is there something wrong with my PC?

    Thanks,

It would be related to the implementation of the WYSIWYG editor controls in your browser. The Browser is actually what controls the view in those controls, vBulletin just takes the resulting HTML and converts it to the appropriate BBCode.

So it's a problem on my end? Re-installing WinXP would solve the problem? You see... I experience lots of line-break problems in the VB3 wysiwyg-editor, not only those mentioned above.

Today I learned that Mike has solved this issue! It seems that I was right : it was not a problem on my end, but a 'bug' in VB3 itself. To read more and learn how to fix this see: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/bugs....iew&bugid=2627

Thanks for this solution. Finally I am able to markup <lists> without these problems!

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
